AP EAPCET 2026 results were declared on July 1, 2026, and APSCHE’s Phase 1 counselling is expected to begin around mid-July 2026 (the official schedule is released at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in once college approvals are complete). If you have your rank card in hand, this guide walks you through every stage — and the mistakes that cost students their seats every single year.

Before you start: run your rank through our free EAMCET Rank Predictor to shortlist realistic colleges before web options open. It uses previous years’ closing ranks, so you enter counselling with a plan instead of guessing.

The 7 stages of AP EAPCET counselling

  1. Online registration + processing fee. Log in with your hall ticket number and date of birth. Fee: ₹1,200 for OC/BC, ₹600 for SC/ST (online payment only). Keep the receipt.
  2. Certificate verification. Three cases: if your certificates were already verified online through web services when you applied, pay the fee and go straight to web options. If your data needs correction, upload the relevant certificates for online verification. If verification failed or is pending, visit your nearest Help Line Centre (HLC) with originals. Check “Know Your Registration” on the portal — you can only enter web options after it shows you as eligible.
  3. Web options entry (choice filling). The single most important step — strategy below.
  4. Mock allotment. A preview of where your current options would land you. Use it to rearrange your list before the freeze.
  5. Seat allotment. Based on your rank, category, local area status, and the exact order of your options.
  6. Online self-reporting. Mandatory. Downloading the allotment order is not enough — you must self-report on the portal within the deadline or the seat lapses.
  7. Physical reporting at the college with original documents and tuition fee payment. Both self-reporting AND college reporting are compulsory.

Documents checklist (originals + 2 xerox sets)

  • AP EAPCET 2026 Rank Card and Hall Ticket
  • SSC (10th) marks memo
  • Intermediate marks memo
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) — original is mandatory at college reporting
  • Study certificates (Class 6 to Intermediate)
  • Aadhaar card
  • Income certificate (for fee reimbursement eligibility)
  • Caste certificate / EWS certificate (if applicable)
  • Local status / residence certificate (if required)
  • NCC / CAP / Sports / PH certificates (if claiming special categories)

Web options strategy: where seats are won and lost

The allotment software is simple: it walks down your preference list and gives you the highest option your rank can reach. Every mistake students make comes from not respecting that logic.

Do this:

  • Enter at least 50 options. Students who enter 8 “dream” options routinely end up with nothing in Phase 1.
  • Order strictly by YOUR preference: dream colleges first, realistic targets in the middle, safe backups at the end. You lose nothing by aiming high at the top of the list.
  • Download the previous years’ “Last Ranks” PDF from the portal and compare closing ranks for your category and local area (AU/SVU region matters — 85% of seats are local-quota).
  • Decide your branch trade-off in advance: a lower-ranked college with CSE vs a better college with ECE/EEE is the classic dilemma. Pick your rule before emotions kick in.
  • Use the mock allotment result to rearrange, then save and freeze before the deadline.

Avoid this:

  • Copying a friend’s option list — their rank, category, and local area are not yours.
  • Freezing carelessly on day one. Options can be modified until the deadline; freeze only when you are sure.
  • Skipping Phase 1 “to see what happens.” Phase 1 has every seat in the state; later phases only have leftovers plus betterment vacancies.

The three phases

PhaseWhen (expected)Who should participate
Phase 1July 2026Everyone. All colleges and all seats are on the table.
Phase 2Late July–August 2026Unallotted candidates + anyone seeking betterment. All Phase 1 options are wiped — you must enter fresh options. If you get a better seat, your Phase 1 seat is automatically cancelled; no extra fee.
Special/Final roundSeptember 2026Final centralized round for leftover vacancies; new candidates must complete verification first.

FAQ

Can I take a Phase 1 seat and still try for a better one in Phase 2?

Yes. Join the Phase 1 college, then enter only better options in Phase 2. If you win a better seat, the old one is cancelled automatically. If not, you keep your Phase 1 seat. There is no downside if you list only genuine upgrades.

What if I miss self-reporting?

Your allotted seat is cancelled. This is the most painful and most avoidable mistake in the whole process — set a phone reminder the moment allotment results are announced.

Is the counselling fee refundable?

No, the processing fee is non-refundable, and Phase 1 participants do not pay again for Phase 2.

My certificates are from another state. What do I do?

Non-local and out-of-state candidates should check the eligibility rules in the official notification and complete HLC verification with all originals — do not rely on online verification alone.

Next step: shortlist your colleges now with the free EAMCET Rank Predictor, and keep the official portal open for the exact Phase 1 dates. Dates in this guide are based on APSCHE announcements and reporting as of July 13, 2026 — always confirm deadlines on cets.apsche.ap.gov.in before acting.
